Catherine Goode

Coloratura soprano Catherine Goode enjoys performing both on and off the operatic stage. She is one of eight vocal fellows selected for the inaugural RISE Camp through Crested Butte Music Festival in the summer of 2020. She joins Kentucky Opera’s 2020-2021 Barbara and Halsey Sandford Studio; in the summer of 2021, she makes her role debut as Lady with a Hand Mirror in Argento’s Postcard from Morocco with Merola Opera Program. Previously, Goode has appeared with Opera in the Heights and in young artist programs with Opera Columbus (2019-2020), Des Moines Metro Opera (2018, 2019), and Virginia Opera (2018-2019). Favorite roles performed include Adina, Königin der Nacht, Susanna, Cunegonde, and Controller. As a soloist, Goode has sung the soprano solo in numerous masterworks and is an avid recitalist. Additionally, she was a 2020 MONC Great Lakes Region Finalist. A native of Friendswood, Texas, she holds degrees from the University of Houston and Michigan State University. www.catherinegoode.com
