Meghan Eldred-Woolsey

Meghan Eldred-Woolsey is in her tenth year of teaching junior high and high school choir at DeWitt Public Schools. Meghan received her Bachelor’s of Music Education and Master’s in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University. Since beginning her work at DeWitt, the vocal program has added two new ensembles and doubled in total participation, currently standing at seven choirs and over 300 students. Under Meghan’s direction, the DeWitt High School Choirs have developed a reputation of distinction through regularly receiving Excellent and Superior ratings at the MSVMA Choral Festival and Solo & Ensemble. In her years at DeWitt, the choirs have been honored to perform twice at the MSVMA Choral Hour at the Michigan Music Conference, at the ACDA Michigan Fall Conference, and as outstanding large ensembles at the Michigan Youth Arts Festival. In 2016, Meghan became the acting Artist Director for Sistrum, Lansing Women’s Chorus – a feminist community chorus committed to social justice and change through choral music.
