Xiaosha Lin

Xiaosha Lin is currently studying for her DMA in Choral Conducting at Michigan State University, where she is the assistant conductor of University Chorale and Choral Union, and also assists in the undergraduate conducting course. Previously Lin served as assistant conductor at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) where she assisted with the University Choir and Women’s Chorus. During her time at HKBU, she also assisted Dr. John Winzenburg in editing Half Moon Rising, an Asian choral music collection published by Edition Peters in 2015. Lin simultaneously held a conducting position with Hong Kong Yip’s Children’s Choir, specializing with adolescent voices. Lin also was an active guest conductor and clinician with multiple church choirs in both Guangzhou and Shantou, China.

Lin holds degrees from Westminster Choir College (MM), Hong Kong Baptist University (MA), and Xinghai Conservatory of Music (BA). As a chorister, her extensive experience including performing with Berlin Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, and Philadelphia Orchestra under the batons of Sir Simon Rattle, Alan Gilbert, Jane Glover, and Yannick Nézet-Séguin; While at Westminster, she toured and performed with the Westminster Choir at the Spoleto Festival USA and World Symposium on Choral Music.
