Meg Hulley Frazier
Dr. Meg Frazier is Francisco M. Gonzalez Distinguished Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Loyola University New Orleans, where she conducts Chorale and Chamber Singers and teaches conducting and sight-singing. A sought-after workshop clinician/guest conductor, Dr. Frazier has conducted all-state choirs in nine states and regularly adjudicates and provides clinics at festivals, honor choirs, and large ensemble competitions. Dr. Frazier studied conducting with Dr. Bev Henson at Sam Houston State and with Dr. Ken Fulton at LSU. During her tenure at Loyola, the Chorale/Chamber Singers performed at state and regional ACDA conferences and have collaborated on a regular basis with NOVA Chorale, the New Orleans Opera, the Baton Rouge Symphony Chorus, and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (for which Dr. Frazier serves as choirmaster). Dr. Frazier recently retired after 23 years as Artistic Director/Conductor of NOVA, a New Orleans-based community chorus organization. She is honored and excited to be making her debut with mirabai at ACDA Eastern.
